NARI Group Won the Bid for the New Substation Project in Thailand for the First Time

NARI Group won the bid for the general contractor of two 115kV substations of Metropolitan Electricity Authority of Thailand (MEA) on May 20, 2015. It is the first time for NARI to undertake general contractor projects of substation in Thailand, which breaks the monopoly made by European and American companies in the region, further consolidate and upgrade the NARI brand visibility and its influence in Thailand and Southeast Asia.


As the first Chinese enterprise entering the general contractor market of substation in Thailand, NARI Group will be responsible for integrated design, civil engineering, equipment supply, installation and commissioning of two newly built 115kV substations in Bangkok, Thailand. The project will apply NS3000 digital monitoring system products, which are self-developed by NARI Group on the basis of IEC61850 standard.


The two concerned substations are around Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, which are responsible for power supply in key political and commercial area in Bangkok. It would provide the area with highly reliable and safe power service after its completion, raising the grid value in Thailand in an effective way. NARI has provided the Owners with competitive solutions and products and obtained their recognition so as to meet their real needs. NARI Group has undertaken upgrade projects of 79 substations of MEA before this.
